FiggTree Youth Recording Academy is a TWO PHASED youth centered organization. FYRA is a non-profit (501c3) organization that’s dedicated to elevating the knowledge of Media Arts, performing arts, music education, computer skills, electronic engineering, multi-media and Broadcast engineering to youth within the Greater Atlanta Metro Area.
The second phase of FYRA, has been established to teach youth violence prevention, anti-bullying also give them better alternative ways for conflict resolution..
We teach ways of stopping the cycle of violence for future generations through the children's newfound knowledge of embracing the positives in life.
Most importantly, our program support youth and help them to define and work towards achieving personal goals, increasing confidence, identifying accomplishments and learning valuable technological skills that will improve their chances for a successful future.

FYRA’s Programs help reduce juvenile delinquency, boost academic performance and reduce school drop-out rates.
Youth who participate in our program show improvements with self-esteem issues, they improve academic performance, have better relationship with parents and their peers, they gain independence and are better with life skills. They show a reduction in substance use, violence and other damaging risk behaviors.
We achieve our goals by providing each youth with a mentor.
Each mentor provides encouragement, guidance, support positivity, communication and technical skills.
Mentoring is designed for youth ages 7 to 17(including those considered at risk)

We strive to do it all here at FiggTree Youth Recording Academy. Our Nonprofit provides a dynamic work environment where deadlines are met and goals are not only met, but they are exceeded. We work on many exciting initiatives to improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the work we do. Word from the Founder

PRESIDENT / FOUNDER
FiggTree Youth has been an outlet for youth in the Atlanta area since 2003. In conjunction with the Ludacris Foundation, FYRA has had the privilege to extend it’s services as a mobile after-school & summer program.
In our local public school system numerous budget cuts have occurred which significantly reduces the exposure of media arts and music education. Research shows that youth which are involved in music and art programming tend to be less aggressive and more attentive to their surroundings.
The benefits of FYRA’s after school & Summer programs extend beyond the direct time spent mentoring and learning about media arts. FiggTree’s mission and goal also serves our youth by providing educational challenges that promotes a positive outlook across all areas of learning. More specifically within the areas of reading and mathematics. Our focus is much more than multi-media. We emphasize the importance of staying in school and learning as much as possible. WE believe that the knowledge of Mathematics, Reading, Electronics, and Basic Computer skills has become the backbone of our society.
Today F.Y.R.A. continues to stand alone as the only 501c3 organization that specializes in teaching the skills of recording engineering and multi-media to Atlanta’s youth. All teachers/ Mentors have expanded knowledge of the subjects taught. Each will either posses a degree in said field or have at least 5+ years of experience in the subject.
Giving youth a greater variety of options with different perspectives from more sides than one is our goal for the participants.
We are here to enhance the creative knowledge that lies within the youth of today. Finding their true expression through music.
